Esha (ee-sha, she/hers) is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) born and raised on unceded Ohlone land, now the Bay Area, CA. She has supported hundreds of families through the birthing process and feels lucky to learn from their bravery, vulnerability, and wisdom. Esha believes midwifery has the power to transform communities and is committed to partnering with her clients to create a container of warmth, autonomy, support.
Esha completed her CNM training and attained a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2025. She has attended births and provided prenatal, postpartum, sexual health, and abortion services in a variety of hospital- and community-based settings in the Bay Area and Oregon. Esha came to midwifery through experiences caring for unhoused folks and survivors of sexual violence in San Francisco, CA. She believes that reproductive justice is essential to ensure the freedom and safety of all people.
Esha is a Certified Domestic Violence Advocate and Rape Crisis Counselor in the state of California. She has particular interests in perinatal mental health, gender-affirming care, and family planning. When she isn’t dreaming about revolutionary midwifery, you can find her reading, running, and loving on her cat and beloved humans.
