About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate certified nurse-midwife to be a founding member of a new clinic in the Bay Area’s Peninsula in Northern California.. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of midwifery care and make a real difference in the lives of families. In this position you will deliver full-scope midwifery care, including perinatal care and gynecology. 

Our perinatal patients are emotionally and educationally supported as they are paired with a Millie Guide (practicing doula) who prepares them for childbirth, postpartum, chest/breastfeeding and newborn care. About you

We are looking for a compassionate and driven midwife who meets all of the following requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in full-scope midwifery practice (obstetrics and gynecology)
  • An active Certified Nurse-Midwife license in the state of CA and certification by the AMCB
  • NRP and BLS certification
  • Skills/training in the following areas are a plus: multilingual, motivational interviewing, lactation certifications, nutrition/diabetes training, cesarean first assist, and/or teaching movement or meditation practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope midwifery care at our clinic, hospital partner, and virtually
  • Provide outpatient gynecology services such as contraception, STIs, vaginitis, annual well person exams, irregular bleeding, preconception and fertility care, and menopause care
  • Provide medication abortion services and miscarriage management
  • Collaborate with other team members (e.g., obstetricians, nurses, doulas, nutritionists, therapists, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with patients during and between appointments to ensure questions are answered and concerns are addressed by leveraging Millie’s app and technology
  • Foster relationships with the greater birth and reproductive health community
